Who We Are
The Moon 2 Mars Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating inspiring space-focused experiences for students and communities.
Inspired by NASA’s Moon to Mars mission framework, the Foundation uses space exploration as a powerful lens for learning. Our name reflects both humanity’s journey beyond Earth and our home base in southwestern Pennsylvania, where the communities of Moon Township and Mars share names with the destinations that inspire our work.

The Moon 2 Mars Foundation exists to inspire, connect, and empower students through authentic, high-impact space exploration experiences.
A core part of our mission is connecting students with real, working space professionals, the scientists, engineers, researchers, and astronauts actively shaping today’s and tomorrow’s missions.
We design programs that:
